  • Providing real-time alerts if your private information becomes public
  • Investigating possible situation where your identity has been stolen
  • Making identity management and protection easy

Why myID.com

As people live more of their lives online, the amount of information than can be found and used by others also increases.  Consumer Reports found that over half of social network users post risky information online such as full birthdays, phone numbers and home address, opening themselves up to privacy issues and identity theft.

To compound the issue, people page sites such as Spokeo and Whitepages.com have begun aggregating multiple data sources to create full and robust profiles of people without their knowledge. This means your private information could be exposed without you knowing.

Unlike most identity theft software, myID helps you manage your entire identity, on social networks, on people page sites and offline through our financial monitoring system.  With myID you can rest assured that your privacy, safety, finances and reputation are secure.

History

myID is a privacy and identity monitoring, protection and alerts tool.  SafetyWeb is a leader in cloud-based online safety and the creators of the SafetyWeb service, a web-based Internet monitoring service for parents that makes it easier to protect the reputation, privacy and safety of kids online.

After years of helping parents keep their children safe online, SafetyWeb founders Geoffrey Arone and Michael Clark saw a growing need for personal identity protection online, a tool that could help people monitor and manage what types and how much personal information was publicly available on the web through Facebook and other websites.

To address this need, myID was created to help people manage public information online, but also alert to any information breaches that could affect their financial identity as well.

Launched in early 2011, myID continues to refine and add innovative identity protection options that give individuals the power to fully manage and protect their privacy, safety, finances and reputation.
